Live at JazzState

Jakub Żołubak Trio

In August 2021, Jakub Żołubak, Radek Łukaszewicz, and Patrycja Wybrańczyk recorded the material for their debut album "Live at JazzState" at the SPATiF club in Warsaw.

Released in November 2021, the album features seven original compositions, including Bill Frisell's "Small Town" and a tribute to the guitarist titled "Billish." The trio blends influences from Frisell, ECM, and artists like Jakob Bro, Dans Dans, and Soren Dahl Jeppesen, creating dreamy music that sits between jazz, film, and illustrative music, with a touch of free improvisation. Part of the material was inspired by the film "It’s Okay to Panic" and addresses climate change issues, including the water crisis in Bolivia.
